Digitisation of manuscript is essential to save the ancient treasure of knowledge, heritage and culture. Digitisation and preservation of Manuscripts in Somaiya Vidyavihar is being carried over by Eka- Archiving and Services with an expert and trained team. They look after all the aspects involved from physical caring, its storage and finally digitisation work. All the manuscripts are scanned through the BookEye scanner and metadata is created according to guidelines of the National Mission on Manuscripts.

The primary objective of this digitization project is to create an Institutional Archive of Somaiya Vidyavihar which provides its students an accessible repository of art objects to study from. These activities are carried out in K J Somaiya Institute of Dharma Studies.
